The interior design references the close proximity of the hospital to Lake Norman by integrating free-flowing “wave” elements into the flooring and millwork design. Art glass is used to enhance the effect, and blue and green glass mosaic wall tiles reflect water’s varying shades. Natural materials, such as slate, terrazzo, and wood, echo the views to the landscape.
