Mark Furgeson, AIA, ACHA
Mark has spent over 20 years studying, planning, and designing innovative healthcare environments. With a
Master of Architecture in Healthcare Planning and Design, Mark has focused his career exclusively on this complex market
segment. Through experience with a wide variety of healthcare organizations, from small rural providers to large
academic medical centers, he has worked to bring holistic solutions that merge strategic and business initiatives
with impactful facilities solutions. Mark’s focus on industry liaisons has produced innovative approaches to
master planning and strategic prioritization. As a founding member of the American College of Healthcare
Architects, he participates in the national discussion shaping healthcare planning issues. Additionally, Mark
has written and lectured on a diverse group of planning issues including a recent course at Cornell University
focused on Healthcare Planning Principles for Managers through the Sloan School of Business.
